Education, Growth, and Second Chances for Justice-Involved Youth
LTI’s Socio-Academic Modification Program (SAMP) is a certified educational program serving youth ages 12 to 18 who are remanded to the Nassau County Juvenile Detention Center. Operating year-round, SAMP delivers mandated and ancillary educational, cultural, and recreational services, all tailored to meet the unique needs of justice-involved youth.
Our goal is to ensure that every student has access to quality education, personal development opportunities, and pathways to success, both during their time in detention and as they transition back into the community.
Education is one of the most powerful tools in breaking the cycle of incarceration. By providing structured learning, skill-building, and mentorship, SAMP empowers young people to build a brighter future and successfully reintegrate into their communities.
✔ Certified GED Testing Center, offering on-site testing and preparation for justice-involved youth.
✔ 90% of students demonstrate improved academic engagement during their time in SAMP.
✔ Significant reduction in recidivism rates among program graduates.
